A trip to Bangkok would be incomplete without a quintessential Tom Yum experience. During my visits to this city, there’s one particular place which served me one of the best Tom Yum soups I have ever tasted.
The restaurant is called P’Aor, which is located in an alley in Petchburi Road. I have been there quite a number of times and ordered different items, and I haven’t had a single item which I regret ordering.
You can order the Tom Yum soup with your choice of seafood and noodles (egg noodles or glass noodles). I ordered the one with Lobster and Mussels and the one with King Prawns.
There are other interesting items in this restaurant. To go with the Tom Yum, a choice of green egg noodles with a barbecued chicken works as a perfect complement.
Details about the Restaurant:
68/51 Soi Petchaburi 5, Between Soi 5 – 7, Phaya Thai, Ratchathewi, Bangkok
If you don’t order expensive seafood such as the lobster, it shouldn’t take more than 200-250 Thai baht (About 6-7 USD) per person for a meal.
